Great day! I had a meeting with one of the ten city councillors Heather Deal who deals with the cities arts portfolio, we talked about a "free wall" mural program that gives young artist a place to paint and some of the city bylaws that stop murals from going up. Heather said she would speak to the mayor because Gregor is an big supporter of the arts in Vancouver.

This week I went to LA for my first time and was able to establish something special in just 7 days. Having this type of success under the Hollywood sign has really energized me. I put a add on Craigslist LA giving away a free mural and got 500 responses in just a few hours! I talked to a lot of great companies and a few strange ones but in the end http://protohomes.com/ a very innovative construction company loved the idea. They got all the paint and ladders in record time and the image was sketched out on a 30 foot wall that night. Protohomes arranged for me to be interviewed over the phone by a real-estate publication that has distribution all over California and hey plan to fly me back in a few weeks for the grand opening of their building. They want me to come straight from the airport to the event and paint a new mural for the party. I also met up with some of the community in South Central to do a memorial painting for the family of a 25 year old who was shot in January. Everyone in LA was so kind to me and the encouragement I got was amazing. I had at lot of walls donated to me one person wanted the front of his brand new house painted 3 stories high! Also i almost did a mural of Lakers owner Jerry Buss who passed away this week but i had to fly home so it didn't happen on this trip. What a very successful first time in LA, 500 hits on my website in one day. Feb 13Painting details i made before I left on my trip.
