 Emily Carr style painting of Vancouver 2014 with a twist.  I hung this painting over the posters and was going to paint all the posters bright green and blue during the Main street car free days but someone really did not like the subject in the art and took down the painting the night before. The next week the tar sands pipeline was approved by the Canadian government.  Boy blowing fire Acrylic on canvas 6 feet x4 feet  BC First Nations, no treaty stolen land series. 1 foot x 4 feet  A big Freda painting, the revolutionist painter.  A great photographer has given me permission to use his pics. He did a series of portraits bringing attention to woman in the east side. I think it's important to paint it.  Lots of murals brewing up around the city this summer. This one is starting next week on 6th and commercial for the Royal Canadian Legion. Also doing a mural for Richmond school board over 4 days, 85 kids will be learning how to paint ideas they are passionate about. Then back to east van and Raycam Projects and starting to paint for BC Housing. They have some great big walls and want me to paint a mural about the aggressive assimilation of First Nations for the Truth and Reconciliation Projects.#vancouverart #vancouvermurals #nickgregson  Did 4 small paintings last night of the same image they are for sale on my website $50 each.
